Our school is named after Raul P. Elizondo, a Las Vegas Police Officer killed in the line of duty. His presence can be felt throughout the school and his service to our community continues to be a sense of pride for school staff and students. Each year, we celebrate the life of Officer Elizondo with a day of festivities in partnership with local law enforcement and other state, county, and city municipalities. Elizondo Day, as it has come to be known by, is a chance to celebrate not only the life of Officer Elizondo but all of our heroes in blue. During Elizondo Day, hundreds of Police Officers from Metro, North Las Vegas, and CCSD spend the day touring the school, interacting with students, and working with members of the community.
